Body-based movement for emotional depth, nervous system regulation, and self-understanding.
Somatic Dance Movement Therapy (SDMT) is a body-based approach that uses movement, sensation, and embodied awareness to support emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and self-understanding. Rather than working through the mind alone, SDMT works with the body as the primary site of healing — drawing on Dance Movement Therapy, Somatics, and relational presence to help you reconnect with your inner world.
Sessions may include intuitive movement, breathwork, themed exploration, somatic awareness practices, and quiet reflection — held in a safe, attuned space where what needs to move, can move.

Facilitated with Care
With more than two decades of experience across dance, music, and education — and nearly two decades working with children and young people in hospitals, schools, and community spaces — I bring a depth of presence to this work that comes from being alongside people in their most human moments.
I am currently completing my Graduate Diploma in Somatic Dance Movement Therapy, hold full insurance, a current Working With Children and Police Check, and have completed Safeguarding Children training through the Australian Childhood Foundation. All sessions are supported by professional supervision.

A dance class is about learning movement. Soul Dance is about collective joy and liberation through music. SDMT sessions are therapeutic — they follow a guided arc designed to support emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and self-understanding. The body is the instrument, not the performance.
